DVT Engineer

The DVT Engineer is responsible to develop Design Verification Test plans, execute the test plans, document and publish test reports. The DVT Engineer will interact with other departments to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. The successful candidate will be able to identify functional problems and suggests resolutions. They will assist in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. They will analyze test cases and provides regular progress reports. This position is full-time and exempt. Pay is dependent on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare validation or performance qualification protocols for new or modified manufacturing processes, systems, or equipment for production.
  • Coordinate the implementation or scheduling of validation testing with affected departments and personnel.
  • Study product characteristics or customer requirements and confer with management to determine validation objectives and standards.
  • Create, populate, or maintain databases for tracking validation activities, test results, or validated systems.
  • Prepare, maintain, or review validation and compliance documentation, such as engineering change notices, schematics, or protocols.
  • Develop receiving inspection processes for new products• Prepare detailed reports or design statements based on results of validation and qualification tests or reviews of procedures and protocols.
  • Develop validation master plans, process flow diagrams, test cases, or standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct validation or qualification tests of new or existing processes, equipment, or software in accordance with internal protocols or external standards• Maintain validation test equipment• Some travel to sites for product evaluation may be required.
  • Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience• A bachelor’s degree in engineering. Manufacturing/quality/mechanical focus preferred.• Clear understanding of valid design of experiments, statistics and equipment capability analysis.
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected• Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience with quality control systems and standards, such as ISO, ASTM, ASME, etc.
